For the 2010-11 season, DeAndre Yedin, a product of Seattle’s O’Dea High School, joined the Seattle Sounders FC youth system. He has also represented Emerald City FC, Northwest Nationals, and Crossfire Premier in youth soccer.
He then transferred to the University of Akron, where he scored his first goal in a 3-1 victory over Ohio State on September 28, 2011. He signed an official deal with Seattle Sounders FC as the club’s first homegrown player in the year 2013.
He has also played for Tottenham Hotspur before being loaned out to Sunderland for the remainder of the 2015 season. After spending a season at Tottenham Hotspur, the player was traded to Newcastle in 2016. In 76 appearances with the club, he scored two goals.
He earned his U-20 international debut in a 3-1 win over Portugal last week and was also a team member in the 2014 World Cup. He also participated in the 2016 Copa America Centenario with the team.
