While her professional life is well-known, the same cannot be said for her personal life. That’s because the actress has kept her personal life very private in recent years.
Having said that, despite having a couple of notable relationships in the past, she has yet to marry or have a husband, according to various reports.
Connie Nielsen’s First Known Relationship and Partner
Nielsen had a long-term relationship with fellow actor Fabio Sartor in the 1980s. Her first public relationship was most likely her first.
Sartor’s credits include The Passion of the Christ, Rossella, La Crociera, Black Out, and Nirvana.

They allegedly started dating while the actress was still living and working in Italy. They had a son, Sebastian Sartor, on November 26, 1989, after only a short time together.
Even after she moved to the United States, the actress and her partner remained on good terms. Meanwhile, Sartor traveled frequently between Italy and the United States to see his former partner and their son.
But things didn’t last forever, and they ended their relationship quietly.
Connie Nielsen Dated Drummer Later Lars Ulrich’s
Nielsen found love with her new partner, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, after splitting up with her baby daddy.
She began dating him in 2004, and they had a son, Bryce Thadeus Ulrich-Nielsen, in May 2007, in San Francisco, California.
When they were together, their relationship was also regarded as one of the most famous in the industry.
Nielsen and her partner, Ulrich, ended their relationship in 2012 after nearly a decade together. And, as with her previous breakup, the reason for the split with her partner was not revealed.
Is there no husband? Not a problem!
Nielsen appears to be in a stage of life where she is no longer concerned with getting married or having a husband.
A quick glance at her social media accounts reveals that she is currently content in her life with her two sons. She frequently posts updates about her life with them there.
She, for example, used Instagram to wish her older son Sebastian a happy birthday in November 2021. She shared a photo of them in the post, expressing her undying love for him.
“It’s his birthday, and I love him, he’s amazing, long live my heart @sebastiansartor,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
“I will tell him the same story I’ve told him every year about the day he was born to his father and me, a 25-year-old girl about to discover the greatest love you will ever feel is that for your children,” she added.
Similarly, she described her son as “cute” in a July 2021 post in which she posted a photo of Bryce wearing black sunglasses.
