Chuck Hughes was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 29, 1982. Francine Couture, his mother, was a stewardess who brought back seafood from her travels. The trip’s food inspired Chuck to cook seafood.
Chuck Hughes Sr., Chuck’s father, died at the age of 40. As a result, his mother married for the second time to Pierre Hebert, a director known for films such as La Cage and Triptyque 2.
In terms of education, Chuck attended culinary school and became a certified chef. He worked in the hottest kitchen in Montreal and never backed down.
Chuck and his two best friends decided to open their restaurant, Garde Manger, in 2006. The restaurant quickly became well-known.
