The pair became fathers and delighted in sharing their joyous experience with everyone.
A Couple Blessed with Twin
Cheyenne Jackson and her gay partner Jason Landau welcomed their first twins in October, Son Ethan and Daughter Willow. Cheyenne announced the good news on Instagram, where he shared a twin collage photo in which both fathers expressed their love for their children. They described the photo as;
Only a few hours later, Jackson shared another image of Ethan’s mouth, this time proclaiming it to be magical. However, at about three months old, this is how the two adorable twins appear.
The Guy Who Transformed Into a Husband!
Cheyenne Jackson, 41, began dating Jason Landau in 2013, after meeting for the first time at an alcohol addiction rehabilitation facility. Later that year, the couple revealed their romance on Instagram.
After several years of dating as boyfriends, Jackson and Landau finally got engaged. The engagement was announced by Jackson’s publicist, who stated on their behalf,
“We can happily confirm the news.”
Following their engagement, the pair celebrated with a fairytale-style wedding orchestrated by 1540 production. Jackson stated on the occasion of their wedding,
“This means a new beginning for us. It was love at first sight, and this is just the culmination of that.”
It was an interfaith outdoor ceremony held at a friend’s estate in Encino, California, attended by 200 family and friends of the couple. The wedding planning was done with numerous factors in mind, including Jackson’s Idaho roots and a desire for everything to feel extremely woodsy; hence, the entire ceremony and reception were natural.
There were numerous tweets from their closest friends and followers during the couple’s happiest moment.
Landau elaborated on the wedding,
“There were branches of trees hovering over the tennis court we’re on with over 100 mini chandeliers draping the entire party. It was gorgeous.”
Later, Jackson confessed that the pair got along so well because they shared a similar path in life and had comparable issues. Continuing the interview, he stated;
“We’ve both been through a lot in our lives. We got sober together. Now we sing and we dance together. It blows my mind.”
The other reason the couple gets along is that Jackson already understands what makes a relationship fail, as Jackson was previously married to his long-term partner, but the marriage ended in divorce.
A marriage that failed!
Jackson was previously married to Monte Lapka, his longtime boyfriend. Jackson and Lapka dated for eleven years before deciding to marry on September 3, 2011, in the Hamptons. The couple had their dream wedding, which included only close friends and their dog Zora, whom they regard to as their daughter.
“Something small … just close friends and good music. Our dog would be there. Our dog, our daughter, Zora. … Pretty boring, but something just nice and on the beach.”
However, the relationship was unstable, and just after two years, Jackson and Lapka split amicably in September 2013. Cheyenne’s representative provided an update on the divorce, stating;
“Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka have mutually decided to divorce. The couple has been together for 13 years and were married in N.Y. State two years ago. It is an amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter.”
Cheyenne has already moved on with his personal life and has a family, whilst his ex-husband Monte Lapka, a scientist, is virtually invisible to the media.
