When Ariana was admitted to the hospital, her family discovered she had two broken legs, two deflated lungs, shattered ribs, a broken wrist, and a broken collarbone. Additionally, she was in a five-day induced coma.
After her rehabilitation, Ariana found it difficult to perform gymnastics, so she turned to break dancing. While performing at SeaWorld San Diego, she met Valorie Kondos Field, the head coach of the UCLA Bruins gymnastics.
She pursued her passion with his encouragement and participated in the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team from 2006 to 2009. Ariana’s inspiring life story was adapted into a film titled Fall Out (2015).
