Lorrie Morgan, the country music legend, has had her share of ups and downs in her career. The amazing singer’s father died just as she was about to enter the music profession, which was a devastating blow. Following that, the singer had a succession of marriages that ended in divorce or the death of one of the partners.
Five Failed Marriages in a Row
To date, the singer has been married six times. Lorrie married Ron Gaddis, a bass player, two days before her 21st birthday in 1979. They had a daughter called Morgan not long after that. Unfortunately, their marriage dissolved in 1980 due to the rigors of family life, as well as two persons attempting to create a career in music.
Lorrie focused on her job and daughter after her first marriage ended in divorce. She met Keith Whitley, the Miami, my Amy star, in 1985 while working as a receptionist and demo singer at Acuff-Rose. Lorrie was immediately drawn to Whitley’s voice and fell in love with him.
The couple married in 1986 and had a kid called Jesse shortly after. Lorrie’s friends and family cautioned her about Whitley’s melancholy drinking binges, but the singer was desperate to help him get better. Whitley’s compulsive drinking resumed with a vengeance in 1989, just as Lorrie’s career was taking off. In the same year, while on tour, the budding singer’s spouse died of an alcohol overdose, leaving her widowed at the tender age of 30.
Lorrie had three failed marriages after Whitley’s death: Brad Thompson, Jon Randall, and Sammy Kershaw. Her marriage to Kershaw was the longest-lasting of the three relationships.

Lorrie Morgan finally found her knight in shining armor, Randy White, after a six-year relationship with Kershaw. The lovely pair has been together for more than a decade. The duo still appears to be in love.
Lorrie shared a photo of the two of them on her official Facebook account in the year 2019. The two were seen kissing with a sunset in the backdrop in the photo, and the text implied that they were celebrating their anniversary on a Gulf of Mexico sunset cruise.
