RaaShaun Casey, aka DJ Envy, is a Queens, New York native. On September 3, 1977, he was born. Envy took some daring moves ahead at the age of 17 and created Blok Entertainment, a music production company, out of his enormous enthusiasm and love for music. He was the President and CEO of the company.
Envy found himself cooperating with rap mogul Jay-Z in the early 2000s. Later in his career, he collaborated with artists like as 50 Cent, Fabolous, Janet Jackson, Nelly, and the late DMX, who died on April 9, 2021. DJ Envy was nominated the Most Influential Radio DJ at the Underground Music Awards in 2008.
He is best known for co-hosting the radio show Weekends with the Breakfast Club alongside Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God. Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Justin Beiber, and Gucci Mane are just a handful of the high-profile celebrities he’s interviewed.
The DJ is also recognized for being a romantic and family-oriented individual. In 2001, he married Gia Casey, his childhood sweetheart. They met when they were 16 years old. They have five children, three daughters and two sons.
DJ Envy’s wife is currently expecting their sixth child, and he will soon become a father for the sixth time. Madison, London, and Brooklynn are the names of DJ Envy’s daughters, while Logan and Jaxson are the names of his boys. The husband and wife can be heard discussing their children’s names and trying to decide on a name for their pregnant child in their podcast.
Madison, their eldest daughter, is a gifted pianist and a college student. Logan, the eldest son, on the other hand, is a member of his high school football team.
The Beginnings of DJ Envy and Gia Casey
At Casey’s 16th birthday dinner, DJ Envy met him for the first time. A mutual buddy invited Casey to the gathering. In an interview with OWN, he admitted to being taken aback by her on their initial meeting.
DJ Envy expressed his desire to marry Casey, a 15-year-old girl, in the future. Casey, on the other hand, was not an easy catch. DJ Envy had to work a little harder to win her over. DJ Envy contacted Casey “every day to give me his telephone number,” according to the same video.
According to Casey, a teenage DJ Envy once wrote her a letter in which he stated that “he was going to marry me and that we would have children.”
Their children’s names follow a specific pattern.
DJ Envy and Casey addressed their children’s names and the unique pattern they follow in the YouTube video titled “The Casey Crew Podcast Episode 198: Baby #6!”
While the couple was debating the best name for their unborn kid, DJ Envy offered RaaShana, which he described as “perfect, charming, and cute.” His wife, Casey, however, cut him off right away, stating, “That would never happen.”
Casey informed the audience that the family had a unique pattern for naming their children. The baby’s initial name should finish in ‘n,’ and the middle name must end in ‘r,’ she explained.
This exact pattern may be seen in their children’s names. Madison Tailor, London Skyler, and Logan Tyler, their daughters, each have a first and middle name that ends in ‘n’ and ‘r,’ respectively. Taking this into account, we can be certain that their next baby’s name will be similar.
