Famous South African middle-distance runner Semenya also won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics. In the women’s 800 meters at the 2009 World Championships, she won gold. She also won the 2017 World Championships and the 2016 Summer Olympics, which increased her popularity.
When it comes to her early years, Caster Semenya was born a woman, was reared as a woman, and considers herself a woman. She developed an intersex disorder as she grew older, giving her XY chromosomes and extraordinarily high testosterone levels.
She won the 2009 World Championships, and shortly afterward, she was put through sex testing. As a result of the new IAAF regulations that went into effect in 2019, she was restricted from competing in the 400, 800, and 1500-meter races since she takes medicine to lower her testosterone levels.
