Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have taken their fight over ‘Magic Mike’ money to court. Tatum and his ex-wife Jenna Dewan are awaiting a court order determining how their Magic Mike money should be divided.
Magic Mike is a highly popular franchise of two films, a live show in four cities around the world, and a reality show expected to premiere later this year.
In April 2018, Tatum and Dewan declared their separation, and their divorce was finalized in 2019. Tatum and Dewan have both moved on from their romance. Tatum is dating Jessie J, the singer behind ‘Price Tag,’ while Dewan married Steve Kazee in February 2020 and welcomed son Callum a month later.
Even so, several problems remain unresolved, one of which is the money earned by Magic Mike. When Dewan was in development, he helped find a choreographer for the live Magic Mike shows and moved to London to support his family.

According to TMZ, Dewan has asked for a trial in their divorce case to resolve problems such as property division and spousal support, among other things. Despite being in “intense mediation,” the parents of 7-year-old Everly couldn’t agree on how to divide the assets from Magic Mike, according to the tabloid.
The Real Magic Mike
Magic Mike has a sizable fan base, with many requesting a third film. Back in 2016, Tatum stated that the live shows will be the third installment of the series, as he felt it needed to progress beyond Mike and his crew.
Magic Mike Live has since grown into a hugely popular 90-minute live show. Berlin, Las Vegas, Australia, and London are the four cities where the show is taking place.
Moving on from the third iteration of the franchise, which was the live shows, HBO revealed The True Magic Mike, a reality show. It will be an unscripted competition series produced by Tatum, Steven Soderbergh, Reid Carolin, and Gregory Jacobs, as well as others from the film industry.
The competition winner will receive a cash reward as well as the chance to perform on the Magic Mike Live stage in Las Vegas. The Real Magic Mike has already begun a national casting search and is set to premiere in 2021.
How much money did Magic Mike actually make?
The Magic Mike franchise was a big success and was loosely based on Channing Tatum’s personal experience. The first film, which was released in 2012, had a budget of just $7 million but grossed more than $170 million worldwide. The sequel to the tale of male strippers grossed around $120 million on a budget of $14 million.
