President Vladimir Putin of Russia has been lambasted by world leaders for his decision to invade Ukraine, but Elon Musk is taking it a step further by challenging Putin to one-on-one combat.
“I hereby issue a single battle challenge to Vladimir Putin. Ukraine is at risk “Musk tweeted on Monday morning, using the Cyrillic character to write Putin’s name and Ukraine.
Musk then tagged Putin’s official Twitter account in a follow-up post, writing in Russian, “Do you agree to this fight?”
Musk’s remarks did not go over well with everyone.
The Russian space agency’s director-general, Dmitry Rogozin, responded by labeling Musk a “weakling” and “little devil.”
“You are still young, little demon; compete with me, weakling; it would be a waste of time. First, overtake my brother “Rogozin penned an article. He also inserted the title of “The Tale of the Priest and His Workman Balda,” Russian poetry from the 1800s about a slacker priest who hires cheap labor before the worker drives him nuts.

Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and a Hall of Fame boxer, complimented Musk’s tweet. Klitschko previously vowed to wage “the brutal war” against Russia.
“I am confident that Elon Musk can transport Putin to Jupiter,” Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov wrote before tweeting a link to a “Send Putin to Jupiter” website accepting donations.
Musk’s remarks follow the arrival in Ukraine of his satellite internet startup, Starlink, in early March. Starlink, which is already operational in Ukraine, uses satellites to beam broadband internet connectivity.
On March 5, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Musk for his decision on Twitter, stating that he had spoken with him and that more Starlink devices will be shipped over as people fled the nation.
