Steve’s Biography: Siblings, Parents, Education, Ethnicity

Steve Kornacki, a graduate of Boston University, was born on August 22, 1979, parents Stephan Joseph Kornacki Sr. and Anne Ramonas.

He is of mixed Lithuanian and Polish ancestry. Kathryn Kornacki, his older sister, is a professor at Caldwell University.

Tinsley Mortimer and her boyfriend Scott Kluth have broken up and will not be parents together. From childhood through adulthood, Steve had a difficult and unique life. He was trapped in a web of falsehoods and secrecy about himself, and he lived in fear.

He was always gushing over the guys in a constrained manner when all his guy buddies were obsessing on a stunning girl. Why?

Because he was gay, he lived a lonely life while being secretive about his sexuality. That’s why his dating history was a blank sheet of paper. He couldn’t be in a relationship with a girl and simultaneously ask a guy he admired or loved to be his partner without being outed as gay: he went to the prom with his mother to escape being outed as gay.

Finally, he devised a strategy to avoid being lonely while also avoiding being outed as gay; while at Boston University, he began discreetly dating online to experience what it felt like to be someone’s lover.

He was afraid about acquiring a disease and feared that the guy might end up exposing him before he started, so he had second thoughts about the whole online dating thing. That was his life before he discovered he was gay!
In 2011, Steve Kornacki revealed his gay sexuality at the age of 32.

Steve came out as gay on November 16, 2011, after suppressing his feelings for half of his life and attempting to live as a straight man while being gay. He chronicled the entire experience—his story as a gay man—while working at Salon, where he had his tale published.

He notified his family a week before the publication, and they said, “We’re proud of you.”

Steve Kornacki refuses to meet the parents of his boyfriend

Kornacki also talked about surreptitiously dating men online in the same story. He met a special individual who happened to be in a similar predicament, and he referred to that boyfriend as ‘Dan,’ despite the fact that it wasn’t his true name.

Dan, Kornacki’s boyfriend, came out as gay in 2010 and sought to see his parents. The American news celebrity, however, turned down the offer due to paranoia and therefore lost his loving partner.

That remorse, that sense of camaraderie he had and eventually lost, was the catalyst for him to come out as gay. He did, and he’s been extremely open about his sexuality since then.

In 2018, who is Steve Kornacki’s partner?

If he hadn’t come out as gay, he would have married a girl since it was the only option left to him—that or spend the rest of his life without a spouse, children, or family of his own.

He used comedy to let some of his grief out in order to not suffocate in the misery and challenges of living as a closeted gay guy. That tendency persisted even after he came out about his sexuality.

Steve joked about his relationship in public a couple years after coming out as gay (in 2011). On 17 September 2015, when a random Twitter user asked if he had a wife, he sarcastically answered,

“I’ve been happily married to my wife Ginny for 14 years.”

His honest and amusing relationship tweets over the years illustrate his persisting anxieties. In 2018, though, he appears to be on the lookout for a spouse, but this time with more freedom, moving away from his problematic upbringing.
