Kym Marsh married Army Major Scott Ratcliff on October 16, 2021, in a military ceremony. The Royal Memorial Chapel at Sandhurst hosted the wedding ceremony, which was attended by 150 people.
Marsh’s former Coronation Street co-star Alison King, who was on bridesmaid duty, and her Morning Live co-stars Gethin Jones and Janette Manrara were among the notable visitors. Marsh was dressed to the nines in a magnificent Carolina Herrera gown, while her partner was dressed in his uniform.
The actress’s favorite part was being led down the aisle by her father, who was recently diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.
Everyone, she stated, became emotional as a result of it. Marsh told OK! Magazine, “There were tears when he walked me down the aisle and when I gave him a kiss as he sat down – there were lots of tears surrounding my dad that day.”
They were treated to a military parade after she and her partner exchanged vows. Ratcliff’s coworkers formed an arch with their swords for the couple to walk beneath before sharing a passionate kiss at the conclusion.
On Kym Marsh’s Wedding
Marsh turned to social media over a month after the wedding to break the quiet on her special day. Marsh posted a wedding photo on Instagram on November 6, 2021, showing her and her husband dancing in a passionate embrace.
“Take me back to 3 weeks ago when I married the love of my life!!!” she wrote in the caption.
She went on to say that she considered herself fortunate because her spouse was unlike anyone she had ever met.
Fans were eager to applaud the actress in the comments section. “I congratulate you both. “It’s really lovely,” one person exclaimed.
“Beautiful,” said another. Best wishes to you both. “I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.”
However, there were some nasty comments from others who said it was past time she found the proper one because she had accumulated enough experience.
Marsh and her boyfriend started dating in 2018 after being met by a mutual acquaintance, Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully on Corrie.
Relationships with Kim Marsh in the Past
The majority of the derogatory remarks were directed towards Marsh’s previous relationship. Marsh had been married twice before marrying Ratcliff.
She married EastEnders actor Jack Ryder at St. Alban’s parish church in August 2002. When Marsh was on Top of the Pops and Ryder was on EastEnders, the two first met in a BBC canteen. However, the couple filed for divorce in 2009, and Marsh acknowledged to adultery, according to the Daily Mail.
Jamie Lomas, another EastEnders actor, was her boyfriend at the time. They began dating in July 2008, and she became pregnant just a few months later.
Marsh gave birth to their son Archie prematurely in February 2009, but the couple lost their baby. A year later, the couple was expecting again, and thankfully, their daughter Polly was born in March 2011.
In September of the following year, the couple married, but 13 months later, they filed for divorce.
Although the split was not amicable, the two are now said to be on pleasant terms.
