Sarah, Ludden’s youngest child and White’s stepdaughter, was born in 1952. She began her career as a dancer and audiologist. Due to her passion of dance, she later sought a career in karate.
She also co-founded Thousand Waves, a small karate school in Chicago, with Nancy Lanoue, a business owner. Sarah and Nancy dated for a long time before relocating from California to Chicago and committing to each other.
Sarah was also awarded the Cook County Unsung Heroines Award in 2009 for her contributions to karate. She also got a fifth-degree black belt in the World Seido Karate Organization and Kajukenbo Kung Fu at the same time.
