Lesly is an American nationality with Scottish, English, and Irish origins. She spent the majority of her childhood in Gambrills, Maryland. Gambrills was also where she completed her high school education.

It was back in 1988 that they met for the first time. Lesly and Pat were at the grand opening of a California sports bar owned by a mutual acquaintance.
Their first meeting was not what you’d expect from a couple who has been together for decades. “There was no electricity in the air,” Pat says. Furthermore, he stated that the thought of her did not even enter his mind as he rode back home.
Despite this, the couple continued to visit one another. They used to talk on the phone and had a platonic friendship that was sometimes long-distance. Lesly told PEOPLE magazine of the early stages of their relationship, “He was enjoyable and easy to chat to.” It wasn’t romantic, though.”

On December 31st, 1989, they exchanged vows. It’s safe to conclude that the couple wanted to begin the new year as a married couple.
The wedding ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Annapolis, Maryland. While the event was taking place, ten police officers stood guard outside the church. The couple had invited a large number of their close friends and family members, with between 100 and 150 people in attendance.

Maggie, their daughter, is a country singer who records for GMV Nashville and AO Recordings. She began playing the guitar at the age of twelve. She then released her first single, First Kiss, when she was 16 years old.
