NEWYORK KNICKS’ JULIUS RANDLE GOT A DOUBLE-DOUBLE TO LEAD THE NY TEAM TO A WIN 111-96 OVER LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Since blowing out the Brooklyn Nets 126-101 the night before.
The Los Angeles Lakers faced the New York Knicks, who defeated the Lakers by a 15-point margin.
Against the top-seeded Nets, they performed admirably without LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Similarly, they struggled against the New York Knicks.
“Really bad passing, some bad choices, and you have to give credit to the defense.
But we were just as bad offensively tonight as we were two nights ago,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said.
The Lakers started well, even leading by two points in the first quarter, but they soon began to tremble.
The Knicks took control of the game in the second quarter, adding 29 points to the Lakers’ 24.
The Knicks were just three points ahead going into the third quarter. The Knicks’ lead over the Lakers was quickly extended.
As the third quarter came to a close, the Knicks had a double-digit lead, scoring 26 points to the Lakers’ 16 points.
The Lakers performed well in the fourth quarter, but not well enough to overcome the third-quarter deficit.
The Knicks eventually beat the Lakers 111-96, securing their place in the Play-In tournament for the playoffs for the time being.
Julius Randle bags a double-double against the Lakers
Julius Randle began his NBA career as a first-round selection of the Los Angeles Lakers.
For the 2014-2018 seasons, he stayed for four years.
Julius Randle played for the New York Knicks today, and he had a big double-double to help his team beat his former team.
Randle was too much for his former team to manage, as he dominated their defense, scoring 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Randle explained, “We had to bring our hard hat.” “All year, we’ve relied on our security.
We’re just doing what we’ve been doing for the past year. They have a strong defensive unit. From the beginning, I was abrasive.
It’s important to carry energy early in the second night of a back-to-back, and that’s what I tried to do.”
Following that, the Knicks had a comfortable lead for the majority of the fourth quarter.
The Knicks were led by Elfrid Payton’s 20 points and Derrick Rose’s 14 points off the bench.
On the second night of back-to-back games, Randle’s 13 points in the first quarter gave the Knicks a boost.
In the second half, Randle continued to lead the charge as New York extended its lead to double digits.
Randle’s performance was unsurprising because, as he said, he is still motivated to play against the Lakers.
The Knicks won their third straight game after beating Memphis on Friday and the Raptors on Sunday to improve to 28-27.
In the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, however, Dennis Schroder’s solid shooting was not enough for the Lakers to win.
Markieff Morris had 17 points and Schroder had 21 points, three rebounds, and six assists.
In a similar vein, Kyle Kuzma scored 14 points in his return from injury.
The Two Teams’ Next Games
The Knicks play the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday whereas The Lakers face the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.

Utah quickly tied the game with a 9-point run, then went on a 15-9 run, but the Wizards answered with a 7-0 run to take a one-point lead.
Despite the fact that Beal and Daniel Gafford combined for 20 points in the Wizards’ first quarter.
But the Wizards couldn’t stop Mitchell, who scored 17 points in the first quarter to give the Jazz a nine-point lead.
In the second quarter, the Jazz’s lead was eventually cut in half by Washington’s powerful offense.
They made 13 of their first 15 field goals, for a total of 16-23. In the second quarter, Beal scored 13 of his 34 points.
The Wizards quickly recovered from a nine-point deficit to a seven-point lead with two minutes left in the period.
The Wizards made two of their first nine field goals in the third quarter since joining it.
Gafford ignited a 13-3 run to give Washington a 92-83 lead. Gafford scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds in 18 minutes. Early in the fourth quarter, the Wizards went on a 17-2 scoring streak.
Utah, on the other hand, made a comeback, quickly erasing the Wizards’ 19-point lead. In the final seconds, Beal and Raul Neto hit free throws to give the Wizards the victory.
