Ella Mai, a Grammy Award-winning musician, has been romantically linked to Boston Celtics player Jayson Tatum for about a year. After she aired from Tatum’s home in October 2020, the two were first considered to be dating.
However, Ella Mai and Tatum have kept their romance private and have revealed very little about it. The singer had never been linked to anyone else before meeting Tatum.
Tatum, on the other hand, has been linked to Toriah Lachell and Samantha Amos. Mai’s purported boyfriend was with Lachell from 2014 to 2017 then dated Amos for two years.
Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr., also known as Deuce, was born to him and Lachell during his time with her. Deuce has frequently joined his father and teammates on the floor. During a news conference, the NBA player referred to his son as the reason for his hard work.
When he’s at the game, I’m always excited. He’s merely a visual representation of what I do for a living. Having him observe and knowing he’s looking up to me is enough motivation in and of itself.

Ella Mai’s Career in Music
Mai’s music career began in 2014, when she participated as part of the Arize trio on the 11th season of The X Factor. They didn’t make it very far in the competition series, though, and separated up soon after.
Mai launched her solo career a year later with the release of Troubled, a four-trap EP on SoundCloud. Through the EP, DJ Mustard discovered her and signed her to 10 Summer Records and Interscope Records.
Because of their musical cooperation, Mustard and Mai have become closer, and Mai described her connection with him in an interview with Variety.
I’m grateful to him because not everyone has that kind of opportunity with their label. That is, in fact, my older brother. I can go to him for anything, even if it’s not linked to music. Following the deals, her career took off, and she went on to release another EP in 2016, titled Time. It was one of her most popular early efforts, with the song “She Don’t” with Ty Dolla Sign. It has received over 47 million views on YouTube to far.
She’s released several EPs and tracks over the years, including ‘Boo’d Up.’ The song was her first to chart in the top ten in the United States, introducing her to a far larger audience and even earning her the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards (2018).
‘Boo’d Up,’ Mai’s song, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Song of the Year. At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, she received her third Grammy nomination for her self-titled debut album, which was nominated for Best R&B Album.
