She received a lot of love and support from her fans and followers after she came out. She stated she was in a relationship with her girlfriend, Kylie Prew, a month after coming out.

Before they started dating, Prew and Siwa were friends. According to Siwa, the two met on a cruise ship and had a meaningful talk about their lives.
Siwa initially told Prew the same things she had told everyone else about her life. Prew, on the other hand, wanted to learn more about the Dance Moms alum’s life than what she could find on the internet.
This surprised Siwa because no one had ever asked her a question like this before. This developed a friendship between the two, which blossomed into a love relationship by the end of 2020. Before Siwa came out to the world, Prew asked her to be her girlfriend. Siwa was inspired to come out by her love for her girlfriend, which she did in January 2021.

On November 2, 2021, Siwa announced the separation on Paris Hilton’s podcast, This Is Paris. Siwa stated that after their split, she and Prew remained great friends. She is, nevertheless, still my best friend. I spoke with her the other day; she had recently acquired a new puppy. She’s incredible. She’s having a great time, and I’m having a great time as well.
Siwa went on to remark that she was fortunate not to have entirely lost Prew. Their romance ended, but their friendship continued, which Siwa admitted she had no idea could happen.
The Dancing with the Stars contestant stated she was content because all she wanted was to be friends with Prew. Siwa stated that nothing negative occurred between the two and that all she recalls are the happy days.
