The Death of Deborra Hope
Deborra Hope began to show signs of Alzheimer’s disease, which was later diagnosed. Hope left the show in 2014 due to her poor performance. After living at home with her family for several years, she eventually moved into a long-term care facility.
Hope died on October 8, 2020, at age 65, after a six-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Her husband was the one who announced the news. Her funeral was attended by many of her coworkers, and Global BC tweeted about her dismissal and expressed condolences to her family.
