TimTheTatman, real name Tim Betar, is coming to YouTube Gaming, following in the footsteps of DrLupo. As tweets and accolades pour in, it appears that fans and fellow live-streamers are unable to contain their joy.

Betar began streaming on Twitch under the handle TimTheTatman about ten years ago, and in that time, he has amassed a community of 7 million devoted fans. He has now signed an exclusive partnership with YouTube.

TimTheTatman’s Next Project Is YouTube

TimTheTatman may be new to live-streaming on YouTube, but he already has a sizable TatmanArmy on the platform, with over 3.8 million members.

He can be seen exhibiting his prior employment, emphasizing how bizarre they were, and disclosing his upcoming venture with YouTube Gaming, calling it the future of gaming, in a promotional video he shared on Twitter.

TimTheTatman’s Departure: Why Did He Leave?

In a recent interview with Business Insider, the streamer explained that his decision to switch platforms was motivated by his young family. Twitch, he believes, takes up more time. He went on to say that his biggest motivation is a desire to spend quality time with his wife and son.

Tatman, as his army of fans fondly refers to him, will continue to work the way he chooses — by not broadcasting on weekends — in order to spend more time with his young family.

DrLupo could be seen sharing the news to others and expressing his joy and enthusiasm over TimTheTatman’s coming to YouTube Gaming on a recent YouTube stream, which had 155,946 viewers at the time of this writing. This just goes to demonstrate how highly TimTheTatman is regarded by his colleagues and the gaming world at large.
