On September 19, 1977, in Boston, Massachusetts, a Syrian mother and an American father welcomed Arwa Damon into the world.
She is the granddaughter of Muhsin al-Barazi, a former Syrian prime minister, which is one of her most notable traits.
Arwan went to Istanbul with her family when she was very young, and she completed the first half of her education there. She later relocated to New York, attended Skidmore College, and eventually earned a double major in biology and French there.
