Ed Calderon’s Initial Years
The 39-year-old was raised in Tijuana, Mexico, where he was born. He was recruited into a newly established police group after acquiring his military ID, which focused primarily on activities along the border with Mexico.

Interestingly enough, there are rumors that the character Alejandro Gillick from the 2015 movie Sicario is based on Ed Calderon.
The connection between Calderon and the movie character, who is portrayed as a Mexican prosecutor, may have led to the supposition. Nothing, however, has come to light to support the rumor.
What Is He Up to Now?
The skills and information that Calderon, a retired military member, has acquired through his years of job experience, are currently being taught.
He travels around North America giving private training and seminars in escapology, weapons handling, anti-abduction, and anti-bombing.
