There is no denying that a couple of Clive Owen adores one another and their life together, but as with any relationship, there have been ups and downs — lately, it appears, more downs than ups.
In the later months of 2021, headline after headline appeared on the internet claiming that the Owens were having marital problems.
Clive Owen and his wife do not live together.
According to The Sun (via OK!), the wife was staying at a nearby rental property away from her family. They also revealed that the husband was eager to improve their relationship.
“Clive adores Amanda and loves her to bits,” the source said, before adding, “He fears they will divorce.”
Clive and his wife were hanging on for the holidays, but their future was uncertain.

Having said that, Amanda’s rep told the outlet around the same time that Amanda and Clive were still very much together and that she hadn’t moved out of the house.
Clive Owen and his wife broke the silence
Not long after, the couple finally decided to break their silence and issue an official statement in response to the rumors.
The couple admitted in a joint statement that “like any marriage, we have our stresses and strains,” and that their relationship was going through a rough patch.
“We’re a normal family, and we’ve never claimed that our marriage is flawless,” they explained at the time.
However, just before making that public announcement, Amanda sat down for an exclusive interview with OK!, where she candidly shared that romance was not part of her and Clive’s “make-up” as a couple.
What was even more surprising was that she seemed as chatty and cheerful as she had always been during the interview.
Amanda Owen’s Marriage Survival Guide
During the interview, she even gave advice on how to make a relationship last.
The secret to her 21-year marriage to Clive was her versatility in household roles.
“We do everything interchangeably,” she explained. “Clive will serve tea and change nappies, while I will shear sheep and shovel [expletive]. It makes no difference who does what; we’re all on the same team.”
The adoring spouse went on to praise Clive for being a “hands-on” father.
Amanda even went back to her earlier comment about never saying never to adding another child to their family of 11.
“I’m not sure! If anyone knows anything, it’s that I don’t have a plan. I have plans for today and possibly tomorrow, but that’s it “She revealed.
Having said that, she was still of the opinion that a break from parenting was in order.
