Burna Boy signed him to Spaceship Records, and a remix of his song “L’enu” that included Burna Boy was used as his introduction song. After Burna Boy and his sister Nissi Ogulu, he is the third artist signed to Spaceship Collective. His contract with the record label ended in April, and he didn’t want to sign a new one.
Instead, he chose to focus on his career and himself. He got the “Revelation of the Year” City People Music Award. Buju got his name from a reggae musician from Jamaica named Buju Banton. He goes by the name BujuToyourEars on stage.
