Known for co-hosting the news program Canada AM on the CTV Television Network, Marci Ien is a Canadian broadcaster. She also serves as the host of CTV’s daytime panel discussion program The Social since 2016.

On July 29, 1969, Marci Ien was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Joel Ien, her father, has been a teacher all of his life. He has worked at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education as a teacher, lecturer, and principal.
At Ryerson University, Marci earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Radio and Television. For her academic excellence in 2014, her university also presented her with the Alumni Achievement Award of Distinction.
