Lenora is the daughter of Frank Crichlow and Lucy Addington. She has two sisters, Amanda Crichlow and Francesca Crichlow, and a brother, Knowlton Crichlow.
Her mother is English, but her father, Frank, was born in Trinidad, Trinidad, and Tobago. Frank was well-known British civil rights and community activist who became known as the “godfather of black radicalism” in the 1960s. In the past, he was the proprietor of the Mangrove family restaurant in London’s Notting Hill neighborhood, which served as a hub for gatherings of activists, musicians, and artists like Jimi Hendrix, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, and Diana Ross. After being often raided in the 1970s, the restaurant also served as “the emblem of resistance to police persecution.”
On September 15, 2019, in Hammersmith, London, Frank, Lenora’s father, sadly passed away from prostate cancer.
