In 1988, Morykit moved to Edinburgh after seeing Richard Demarco. He worked with dance and theater companies to create music for a variety of projects. In 1989, Morykit went on a cultural mission to communist Poland with Demarco and other artists.
For the 1996 arrival of the Commonwealth Heads of State, Morykit was also commissioned by Angus Calder and Amnesty International (Scotland) to perform 12 poems to music at Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall.
