Patrick Sammy Mills, the father of Patty Mills, was born on August 11, 1988, in Canberra, Australia’s capital.

Patty was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 55th overall pick on June 25, 2009.
Unfortunately, on July 9, 2009, Mills shattered the fifth metatarsal of his right foot while working out. He was consequently disqualified from the NBA Summer League.
