Armoni Brooks was born in Waco, Texas, the United States of America, on June 5, 1998.
He was born to Anganika Harris Brooks and Delvin Brooks. Jaelyn Brooks, his younger brother, also exists.
Brooks began his basketball career in high school in Austin, Texas. He then went to McNeil High School. Finally, he was recruited and enrolled at the University of Houston after graduating from high school.
The youngster was allowed to play for the Houston Cougars men’s basketball team. His Cougars’ head coach was Kelvin Sampson.
Brooks averaged 13.4 points and 6.3 rebounds during his junior year. He has accomplished this in only 30.7 minutes per game, which is quite remarkable for a youngster.

College Life
Brooks had a fantastic start to his NBA career. But nothing in life is easy, and the 24-year-old was no exception.
The Texas native began his basketball career at McNeil High School.
In Round Rock, he was quite good. Brooks was regarded as a great shooter but was not regarded as a future star.
How did he manage to disprove the doubters?
There was little interest in him for recruitment. However, the few offers he received were sufficient for him.
Brooks went on to attend the University of Houston after graduating from high school.
He joined the men’s basketball team of Houston Cougars coach Kelvin Sampson. The adolescent described it as his best decision of 2019.
The US-born star continued to improve and eventually became the Cougars’ best player. In addition, he declared for the 2019 NBA Draft, foregoing his final year of college eligibility.

Brooks, however, was not drafted in 2019. Brook was in an unfortunate situation. All of his calculations for foregoing his final year of college in the hopes of being selected in the NBA 2019 draft were incorrect.
Brook, on the other hand, did not let his failure depress him. With all of his courage, he went on to play with the Washington Wizards in the 2019 NBA Summer League.
He signed with the Atlanta Hawks again in August 2019 but was released on October 18.
Brooks joined the NBA G League affiliate College Park Skyhawks. Brooks set a career-high with 38 points against the Lakeland Magic on January 24, 2020.
He scored 32 points against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers four days after setting a career-high. He averaged 10.7 points and 3.4 rebounds for the Skyhawks this season.
Brooks was signed by the Saskatchewan Rattlers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League on April 20, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was unable to compete that season.
He was eventually chosen by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Brooks was selected by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the first round of the NBA G League draft on January 11, 2021. For the Vipers, he appeared in 15 games.
That season, he averaged 16.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.07 steals. With 37 3-pointers, he led the G-League. He shot 37.5 percent and averaged 3.8 points per game.
Brooks set a career-high in a game against the Phoenix Suns. In 14 minutes, he managed to score 14 points.
In the G League, he was known for his incredible shooting ability. With this ability, he was said to be able to score four of the five 3-point shots he attempted.
His teams were missing veteran guards Sterling Brown and DJ Augustin. The pair had a sprained left ankle and a sore left knee. This provided Brooks with an incredible opportunity.
He capitalized on his opportunities and demonstrated to the team his true potential.
Brooks’ performance was lauded by Vipers head coach Stephen Silas. “That was awesome to see,” he had to say. We had him in a tight game in the fourth quarter, and he was stepping up and making shots. That was fantastic. It was fascinating to witness.”
A Job in New Zealand
He could have played basketball in New Zealand at one point in his career. Strange, but true; fortunately, he signed with the Houston Rockets.
Brooks had joined the NBA team on April 3, 2021, but he was not far from playing on a different continent. Fortunately, his talent was not wasted outside of the NBA.
According to thedailycougar.com, Armoni was just moments away from boarding his flight to New Zealand when he received the call.
He was almost ready to play in the NBA when he learned of his two-way contract with the Houston Rockets.
On April 3, 2021, the Vipers’ NBA affiliate, the Houston Rockets, signed a two-way contract. Brook’s agent, EJ Kusnyer of Beyond Athlete Management, assured him of the contract.
