Team USA take final win against team Spain before Olympics

With the Olympics nearing, the Men’s basketball team of the USA completes its preparation with the final exhibition game.

And for the final exhibition game, team USA competed with team Spain on Sunday.

Losing the first two games of the exhibition games, team USA finally ended the exhibition game on a happy note with wins back-to-back.

Team USA defeated Team Argentina in the last game

NOW, TEAM USA WON AGAINST TEAM SPAIN 83-76 BEFORE THE TEAM HEADS TO TOKYO FOR THE OLYMPICS.

Damian Lillard led the team USA. Followed by Kevin Durant, Keldon Johnson, and Zach Lavine who also scored in double-figures.

On the other hand, Ricky Rubio led the team Spain, scoring game-high points. Followed by Willy Hernangomez and Marc Gasol, who scored in double figures along with Ricky.

Team Spain started the game strong, taking the lead in the first quarter but team USA made a comeback and won the game at the end.

The first quarter goes to team Spain

Jayson Tatum took the first shot of the first quarter, dropping a fadeaway jumper.

Team Spain answered back and even took the lead over team USA before Damian Lillard dropped a jump shot from the free-throw line.

Draymond Green added another bucket, dropping a jumper. Subsequently, Damian came up with a three-pointer.

Team USA took a six-point lead halfway into the quarter as Kevin Durant blocked Ricky Rubio at the rim.

Finally, Rubio dropped a jumper and came up with an assist to Usman Garuba for a dunk on the next possession.

Alex Abrines knocked down a jumper and tied the game with 3:04 remaining in the quarter.

Sergio Rodriquez knocked down a three-pointer and team Spain took the lead.

They were 12-10 with 2:12 remaining in the quarter as Pau Gasol knocked down a floater.

Durant answered back, dropping a jumper on the other end. While Usman dropped a layup and also drew a foul in the process.

Paul Gasol tipped off Usman’s free-throw miss. Jeremy drove straight to the other end to drop a layup.

Hence, the quarter ended 18-14 with team Spain taking the lead.

Team USA cut the lead in the second quarter

Rudy Fernandez took the first shot of the second quarter, knocking down a three-pointer.

Bam Adebayo answered back, dropping a hook shot on the other end.

Willy Henangomez knocked down a jumper despite Adebayo guarding him.

Keldon Johnson blocked Usman Garuba at the rim. Subsequently, Rudy knocked down a three-pointer.

On the other end, Johnson came up with a three-pointer on Tatum’s past as an answer.

Ricky dropped a jumper and team Spain took an 8-point lead. Durant answered back, knocking down a three-pointer.

Subsequently, Rubio dropped a jumper on the next possession.

And Lillard answered with a three-pointer on the other end.

Rubio again dropped another bucket, this time from behind the arc, which gave team Spain a 7-point lead.

On the other hand, Kevin dropped a fadeaway jumper and also drew a foul in the process.

Tatum came up with a block on Rubio at the rim. Kevin Durant knocked down a three-pointer and cut the lead to four-point.

Eventually, the quarter ended 38-36 with team USA cutting team Spain’s lead to two-point going to the third quarter.

Team USA makes a dominant comeback in the third quarter

Rubio drove straight to the rim and dropped a layup as the first shot of the third quarter.

Subsequently, he also knocked down a jumper on the next possession.

Draymond Green answered back, knocking down a three-pointer beating the shot-clock on Durant’s pass.

Team Spain with only a two-point lead, Marc Gasol knocked down a floater on the other end.

Durant came up with a block on Usman at the rim. Keldon dropped a jumper on the next possession.

Tatum grabbed a rebound and found Damian on the other side for a three-pointer. And finally, Team USA took the lead.

Lillard found Johnson for a dunk.

Zach Lavine added another bucket on the next possession, knocking down a three-pointer.

Johnson added another bucket, knocking down a layup on Adebayo’s pass.

Team Spain trailed team USA by 10-point as Marc Gasol knocked down a three-pointer.

Hence, team USA was 57-50 against team Spain with team USA taking a 7-point lead into the third quarter.

Team USA took the win

Zach Lavine took the first shot of the fourth quarter, knocking down a three-pointer.

Subsequently, Willy came up with a block on Johnson on the other end and also dropped a jumper on the next possession.

Jeremy Grant answered back knocking down a three-pointer. Rodriguez dropped a three-pointer on the other end.

Hernangomez dropped a layup on Rodriguez’s pass and cut Team USA’s lead to 8-point.

Tatum dropped a layup on Green’s pass on the other side halfway into the quarter.

Zach Lavine came up with another bucket, knocking down a three-pointer at the shot-clock buzzer.

Durant then knocked down a long jumper and team USA took an 11-point lead.

Johnson dropped a layup on the next possession. Lavine drove to the rim, knocking down a dunk.

Durant lob to Lavine for a dunk added another bucket for Team USA. Lillard knocked down a three-pointer and team USA took a 16-point lead.

Subsequently, Lillard dropped a long jumper with under two minutes left to play in the quarter.

Willy knocked down a three-pointer from the corner and eventually, the game ended 83-76.

Scoreboard: \sDamian Lillard led Team USA, scoring 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Kevin Durant followed him with 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Similarly, Zach Lavine chipped in 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson led Team USA’s bench with 15 points and 3 rebounds in his first game with the team after replacing Kevin Love.

Ricky Rubio, on the other hand, led team Spain with 23 points and 3 rebounds.

Marc Gasol led the team with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Willy Hernangomez led Team Spain’s bench with 11 points and 3 rebounds.

The opening ceremony for the 2021 Olympics is scheduled for July 23. The men’s basketball tournament begins on July 25 and concludes with the medal games on August 6-7.
